Units

Overview

Units in Project X are the building blocks of your military campaign. You begin each campaign with a pre-determined number of units, placed strategically across your nation. These units can vary widely, from small National Guard Companies to larger formations like armored Corps or Artillery Batteries. By managing and deploying these units strategically, players can influence the outcome of battles, control territories, and achieve overall victory in the game.

Unit Attributes and Other Info

In your game, the attributes Strength, Defense, Size, and Movement define the capabilities and effectiveness of each unit on the battlefield, influencing both combat outcomes and strategic planning.

Strength

Strength represents the offensive capability of a unit, indicating how much damage it can inflict on enemy units. A higher Strength value means the unit can deal more damage in combat, making it more effective in attacking and destroying enemy forces. This attribute is crucial for units designated for offensive roles, such as infantry, armored units, and artillery.

Defence

Defense measures a unit's ability to withstand attacks and reduce the damage it takes from enemy strikes. Units with high Defense values are more resilient and can survive longer in combat, making them ideal for holding strategic positions and protecting key areas. Defensive units are essential for maintaining front lines and providing cover for other forces.

Movement

Movement reflects the unit's speed and ability to maneuver across the battlefield. Units with high Movement values can cover more ground quickly, allowing them to respond rapidly to changing combat situations, engage or disengage from enemies, and reposition strategically. This attribute is critical for units that need to exploit enemy weaknesses, perform flanking maneuvers, or reach objectives swiftly.

Size

Size indicates the number of personnel or the scale of equipment within the unit. This attribute affects both the unit's overall durability and its impact on the nation's population if the unit is lost in combat. Larger units tend to have more health and can sustain more damage before being destroyed, but their loss also results in a more significant decrease in the nation's population.

Sector Capacity Limit

To prevent overcrowding and maintain operational efficiency, only two units are allowed within the same sector at a time. This limit represents the logistical and tactical challenges of coordinating multiple forces in a confined area. Exceeding this limit is not permitted, ensuring that sectors do not become overly congested and that movement and combat operations remain manageable. Players must carefully plan their unit placements to maximize effectiveness while adhering to this restriction.
